Sega Akihabara 2-Kan Through a Phonebox
Tokyo is the future of the 90s.
Nintendo and Sega chimed the hours of childhood: NES and Master System; Game Boy and Game Gear; SNES and Mega Drive.
In the future there were going to be two consoles to fight over – one Sega, one Nintendo. We only wondered what they’d be called. And how many bits.
Tokyo is the future the 90s were pointing at: more new Sega hardware; whole buildings full of games machines; superfast trains; the internet not quite realised; a phonebox on every corner.
It’s like we thought it would be: beautiful.
